The court ultimately concluded the jury properly determined that the committee didn’t make fair use of the template because the fair use test weighs heavily in Griner’s favor.       

“We will continue to pursue legal action against those who provide potentially unsafe and ineffective compounded ‘semaglutide’ products and knowingly deceive patients who are seeking treatment, thereby eroding public trust in the safety of FDA-approved medicines,” said Doug Langa, executive vice president, North America operations and president of Novo Nordisk.

The fallout from the litigation led to two U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission attorneys resigning from the agency.

A startup and its two founders sued Michael Best & Friedrich and two lawyers in Chicago, alleging they mishandled a business reorganization.
