7th Circ. Rejects Liability Claims Against Freight Broker’s Hiring Choices

The circuit court affirmed a trial court’s decision granting summary judgment to a freight broker who arranged the delivery of a shipment brought by a driver who hit and severely injured the plaintiff. The court determined the broker didn’t have an agency relationship with the driver and the carrier.
